NABL / ILAC Accredited Testing

NABL and ILAC accredited testing, with reports your regulator or buyer will accept.

An accredited report is only useful if the right authority accepts it. We match your tests to labs with the right recognition and scope, whether that’s BIS, TEC, CDSCO, RDSO, BEE, STQC, a tender or an overseas buyer, and check every report before you submit it.

Accreditation Explained

What NABL and ILAC accreditation really mean

NABL

India’s accreditation board for testing and calibration labs, under the Quality Council of India, assessing labs to ISO/IEC 17025.

ILAC MRA

NABL is a signatory to the ILAC and APAC mutual recognition arrangements, so its accredited reports are recognised internationally.

Scope Is Everything

Accreditation covers specific tests and methods. A report is only accredited for tests within the lab’s scope.

Railway / RDSO

RDSO testing for Indian Railways vendors

Vendors supplying Indian Railways must get products registered with RDSO (or the relevant vendor approving authority), and that starts with type testing. We plan the tests and the lab so the reports count.

Type tests in RDSO’s order of preference RDSO QO-D-8.1-10

RDSO’s vendor sample type testing procedure prefers RDSO’s own lab, then a government or NABL-accredited lab, then other government-accredited labs where capacity is lacking, and the firm’s own premises only with the vendor approving authority’s approval.

Accreditation RDSO accepts ISO/IEC 17025

Outside labs must be accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by a government-controlled body that is a signatory to the ILAC mutual recognition arrangement, which NABL is.

Tested to the RDSO specification Spec + drawing

Testing follows the item’s RDSO specification and schedule of technical requirements, often with IEC, EN 50155, EN 50121 or IS standards called up inside it, so the test plan has to read the specification clause by clause.

Witnessed and recorded Vendor registration

RDSO may witness tests and asks for critical parameters to be recorded. Failed samples need a technical explanation or corrective action before retesting.

How It Works

Your accredited testing in five steps

We start from where the report is going, then pick a lab whose recognition and scope fit.

1

Standard & Test Plan

We confirm exactly which standard, clauses and tests apply, and why: certification, tender, export or customer approval.

Day 1
2

Lab & Fixed Quote

We choose a lab whose accreditation scope covers your tests and send one written quote with cost and turnaround.

Day 1–3
3

Samples & Documents

You send samples, datasheets and any drawings or specs. We check quantities so testing isn’t held up.

Day 3–7
4

Testing & Updates

The lab tests to the plan. Early failures are flagged straight away so you can fix and retest quickly. Witnessing on request.

Report Review

We check the report against the standard and the authority it’s for before you submit it, then help with the next filing.

Why Bizpro

Why manufacturers use us for accredited testing

Right Lab, First Time

We match your tests to a lab whose accreditation scope actually covers them, so the report is accepted by BIS, TEC, CDSCO, RDSO, a buyer or a tender committee.

One Point of Contact

Test plan, quotes, samples, follow-ups and report review are handled by one specialist, not passed between lab departments.

Testing Linked to Certification

Reports are planned for the approval you need next, from BIS and TEC to CE and FCC, so you don’t pay to test twice.

Avoid Wasted Reports

Common accredited testing mistakes

Accredited, but Not Recognised

A NABL report from a lab that isn’t BIS-recognised can’t be used for BIS certification.

Test Outside Scope

Tests outside the lab’s scope appear without the accreditation mark and may be rejected.

Expired Accreditation

Check the certificate’s validity on the date of testing, not just today.

Report Not in Applicant’s Name

Many authorities need the report to name the manufacturer, model and factory exactly.

Quick Answers

Common questions about nabl / ilac accredited testing

NABL, the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, is a constituent board of the Quality Council of India. It accredits testing and calibration laboratories to ISO/IEC 17025, medical labs to ISO 15189, proficiency testing providers and reference material producers, after assessing their competence for specific tests.
ILAC, the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation, runs a mutual recognition arrangement between accreditation bodies. NABL is an ILAC MRA signatory, so reports from NABL-accredited labs within their scope are recognised by accreditation bodies of other signatory countries.
Not automatically. BIS certification needs testing at BIS's own labs or BIS-recognised labs. Most BIS-recognised labs are NABL-accredited, but NABL accreditation alone doesn't make a lab BIS-recognised.
ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. It covers impartiality, method validation, measurement uncertainty, equipment calibration, staff competence and reporting.
Each accredited lab has a scope of accreditation listing the products, tests and methods covered. Check that your exact standard and test appear on it, and that the certificate is valid. We do this for every lab we use.
Through the ILAC MRA, NABL-accredited reports are widely accepted by overseas buyers and many regulators. Some markets also need specific recognition, such as FCC-recognised labs for the US or a Notified Body for certain EU directives.
RDSO's vendor type testing procedure prefers RDSO's lab, then government or NABL-accredited labs, then other government-accredited labs if capacity is lacking, and the firm's own premises only with approval. Outside labs must be ISO/IEC 17025 accredited by a body that's an ILAC MRA signatory.
