NABL and ILAC accredited testing, with reports your regulator or buyer will accept.
An accredited report is only useful if the right authority accepts it. We match your tests to labs with the right recognition and scope, whether that’s BIS, TEC, CDSCO, RDSO, BEE, STQC, a tender or an overseas buyer, and check every report before you submit it.
What NABL and ILAC accreditation really mean
NABL
India’s accreditation board for testing and calibration labs, under the Quality Council of India, assessing labs to ISO/IEC 17025.
ILAC MRA
NABL is a signatory to the ILAC and APAC mutual recognition arrangements, so its accredited reports are recognised internationally.
Scope Is Everything
Accreditation covers specific tests and methods. A report is only accredited for tests within the lab’s scope.
NABL / ILAC accredited testing: the key facts
| NABL | National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, a constituent board of the Quality Council of India |
| Standards | ISO/IEC 17025 (testing and calibration), ISO 15189 (medical labs), ISO/IEC 17043 (PT providers), ISO 17034 (reference materials) |
| International recognition | NABL is a signatory to the ILAC and APAC mutual recognition arrangements |
| Important | BIS, TEC and CDSCO have their own lab recognition; NABL accreditation alone isn’t always enough |
| What we do | Match each test to a lab whose recognition and scope fit the authority or buyer, and review reports before submission |

RDSO testing for Indian Railways vendors
Vendors supplying Indian Railways must get products registered with RDSO (or the relevant vendor approving authority), and that starts with type testing. We plan the tests and the lab so the reports count.
Type tests in RDSO’s order of preference RDSO QO-D-8.1-10
RDSO’s vendor sample type testing procedure prefers RDSO’s own lab, then a government or NABL-accredited lab, then other government-accredited labs where capacity is lacking, and the firm’s own premises only with the vendor approving authority’s approval.
Accreditation RDSO accepts ISO/IEC 17025
Outside labs must be accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by a government-controlled body that is a signatory to the ILAC mutual recognition arrangement, which NABL is.
Tested to the RDSO specification Spec + drawing
Testing follows the item’s RDSO specification and schedule of technical requirements, often with IEC, EN 50155, EN 50121 or IS standards called up inside it, so the test plan has to read the specification clause by clause.
Witnessed and recorded Vendor registration
RDSO may witness tests and asks for critical parameters to be recorded. Failed samples need a technical explanation or corrective action before retesting.

On completionWhy manufacturers use us for accredited testing
Right Lab, First Time
We match your tests to a lab whose accreditation scope actually covers them, so the report is accepted by BIS, TEC, CDSCO, RDSO, a buyer or a tender committee.
One Point of Contact
Test plan, quotes, samples, follow-ups and report review are handled by one specialist, not passed between lab departments.
Testing Linked to Certification
Reports are planned for the approval you need next, from BIS and TEC to CE and FCC, so you don’t pay to test twice.
Accredited testing for businesses across India
We work with NABL-accredited, BIS-recognised, TEC-designated and CDSCO-registered labs across India, including:
Common accredited testing mistakes
Accredited, but Not Recognised
A NABL report from a lab that isn’t BIS-recognised can’t be used for BIS certification.
Test Outside Scope
Tests outside the lab’s scope appear without the accreditation mark and may be rejected.
Expired Accreditation
Check the certificate’s validity on the date of testing, not just today.
Report Not in Applicant’s Name
Many authorities need the report to name the manufacturer, model and factory exactly.
Other testing we arrange
