Client Specification Testing

Testing to your specification: MIL-STD-810, RDSO, tenders and OEM requirements.

Defence qualification to MIL-STD-810H, JSS 55555 and MIL-STD-461G, RDSO type tests for Indian Railways vendors, environmental tests to IEC 60068, and PSU, GeM, OEM and export buyer specifications. We turn the specification into a test plan, arrange accredited labs and witnessing, and map the report to every clause.

Defence & Rugged

MIL-STD-810H environmental testing

MIL-STD-810H (31 January 2019, with Change Notice 1 in 2022) is the US Department of Defense standard for tailoring environmental tests to a product’s life cycle. In India it’s widely called up in defence, DRDO, PSU and rugged-electronics specifications, often alongside JSS 55555. Common methods we arrange:

MethodTestWhat it simulates
500.6Low Pressure (Altitude)Air transport and high-altitude use
501.7 / 502.7High / Low TemperatureStorage and operation in heat and cold
503.7Temperature ShockSudden moves between hot and cold
505.7Solar RadiationHeating and UV from sunlight
506.6RainBlowing and dripping rain
507.6HumidityHot, humid storage and use
508.8FungusMould growth on materials
509.7Salt FogCoastal and marine corrosion
510.7Sand and DustDesert and dusty field use
512.6ImmersionWater ingress during fording or submersion
514.8VibrationTransport and platform vibration
516.8ShockDrops, handling and transit shocks

Method numbers from MIL-STD-810H. Test levels and durations are tailored to your specification; “MIL-STD-810 compliant” means nothing without the methods and procedures listed. For EMC, defence specs usually call up MIL-STD-461G separately.

Railway / RDSO

RDSO testing for Indian Railways vendors

Vendors supplying Indian Railways must get products registered with RDSO (or the relevant vendor approving authority), and that starts with type testing. We plan the tests and the lab so the reports count.

Type tests in RDSO’s order of preference RDSO QO-D-8.1-10

RDSO’s vendor sample type testing procedure prefers RDSO’s own lab, then a government or NABL-accredited lab, then other government-accredited labs where capacity is lacking, and the firm’s own premises only with the vendor approving authority’s approval.

Accreditation RDSO accepts ISO/IEC 17025

Outside labs must be accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by a government-controlled body that is a signatory to the ILAC mutual recognition arrangement, which NABL is.

Tested to the RDSO specification Spec + drawing

Testing follows the item’s RDSO specification and schedule of technical requirements, often with IEC, EN 50155, EN 50121 or IS standards called up inside it, so the test plan has to read the specification clause by clause.

Witnessed and recorded Vendor registration

RDSO may witness tests and asks for critical parameters to be recorded. Failed samples need a technical explanation or corrective action before retesting.

How It Works

Your specification testing in five steps

Specifications often call up several standards at once. The test plan is where we save you the most time and money.

1

Standard & Test Plan

We confirm exactly which standard, clauses and tests apply, and why: certification, tender, export or customer approval.

Day 1
2

Lab & Fixed Quote

We choose a lab whose accreditation scope covers your tests and send one written quote with cost and turnaround.

Day 1–3
3

Samples & Documents

You send samples, datasheets and any drawings or specs. We check quantities so testing isn’t held up.

Day 3–7
4

Testing & Updates

The lab tests to the plan. Early failures are flagged straight away so you can fix and retest quickly. Witnessing on request.

Report Review

We check the report against the standard and the authority it’s for before you submit it, then help with the next filing.

Why Bizpro

Why manufacturers use us for specification testing

Right Lab, First Time

We match your tests to a lab whose accreditation scope actually covers them, so the report is accepted by BIS, TEC, CDSCO, RDSO, a buyer or a tender committee.

One Point of Contact

Test plan, quotes, samples, follow-ups and report review are handled by one specialist, not passed between lab departments.

Testing Linked to Certification

Reports are planned for the approval you need next, from BIS and TEC to CE and FCC, so you don’t pay to test twice.

Common specification testing mistakes

Missing Test Levels

‘MIL-STD-810 compliant’ without methods, procedures and levels isn’t a test plan.

Wrong Revision

Testing to 810G when the contract says 810H, or an older RDSO spec, can void the report.

Wrong Test Sequence

Many specs require tests in order on the same sample. Changing the order can invalidate results.

No Witness Arranged

If RDSO or the customer must witness, tests run without them may need repeating.

Quick Answers

Common questions about client specification testing

It's testing a product to the requirements in your customer's specification rather than a single published standard: a tender technical specification, an OEM drawing, an RDSO specification, a defence qualification plan or a buyer's quality agreement. The work is turning the specification into a test plan a lab can run.
MIL-STD-810H is the US Department of Defense standard for environmental engineering and laboratory testing. It has test methods for low pressure, high and low temperature, temperature shock, solar radiation, rain, humidity, fungus, salt fog, sand and dust, immersion, vibration, shock and more, tailored to the product's life cycle.
MIL-STD-810H, dated 31 January 2019, with Change Notice 1 issued in 2022. Some contracts still call up MIL-STD-810G, so we test to the revision your specification names.
JSS 55555 is the Indian joint services specification for environmental testing of defence equipment. Indian defence and DRDO specifications often call it up instead of, or alongside, MIL-STD-810.
RDSO, the Research Designs and Standards Organisation, is Indian Railways' standards body. Vendors supplying items listed for RDSO approval must pass type tests to the item's RDSO specification as part of vendor registration, at RDSO or other labs in RDSO's order of preference.
Yes. We help you write a test plan with measurable acceptance criteria, then find a lab that can run it under its quality system, so the results stand up with your customer.
Yes. Customer, RDSO or third-party inspector witnessing can be arranged with the lab. We coordinate dates, documents and test records.
