RoHS Certification

RoHS compliance and testing for electronics going to the EU, UK and India.

Show your electrical and electronic products meet the ten RoHS substance limits. We plan testing at accredited labs, collect supplier declarations, build the technical file and EU Declaration of Conformity, and cover India’s e-waste RoHS rule too.

Common mistakes

Whole-Product Grinding

RoHS applies per homogeneous material; mixing hides failures.

XRF Only

Hexavalent chromium and phthalates need wet chemistry.

Old Supplier Declarations

Supplier changes make declarations outdated.

Forgetting REACH

EU buyers often also ask for REACH SVHC declarations.

Export & Buyer Certifications

Other certifications your buyers may ask for

Chemical Testing

RoHS and REACH testing at accredited labs. See Chemical Testing.

FCC Certification

US equipment authorisation for electronics. See FCC Certification.

FDA Compliance

US FDA registration for food, cosmetics, drugs and devices. See FDA Compliance.

HACCP Certification

Food safety system for export buyers. See HACCP Certification.

Halal Certification

Food, meat and consumer goods for halal markets. See Halal Certification.

AIOTA Certification

Ergonomic evaluation for furniture tenders. See AIOTA Certification.

Quick Answers

Common questions about RoHS certification and testing

RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliance shows that electrical and electronic equipment doesn't exceed limits for ten hazardous substances. In the EU it's a legal requirement under Directive 2011/65/EU, shown through a technical file and EU Declaration of Conformity with CE marking; 'RoHS certificates' from labs support this.
Lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE and four phthalates (DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP) at 0.1% by weight, and cadmium at 0.01%, in each homogeneous material.
Yes. Rule 16 of the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022 sets similar limits for electrical and electronic equipment placed on the Indian market, with specified exemptions.
Usually XRF screening of materials followed by confirmatory chemical testing to the IEC 62321 series where needed, especially for hexavalent chromium and phthalates.
Not always. A risk-based technical file combining supplier declarations, material data and targeted testing is accepted practice. We plan it to keep cost down.
